I was double charged a substantial amount and I CAN NOT afford such a charge. So I called, and the lady on the phone wants me to go to my bank and get paperwork detailing the charges (my bank is not local to my area)...

but they have on THEIR records the double charge. I CONFIRMED it with the less-than-helpful customer service associate. She told me she could see the double charge!!! But the idiots over at NYSEG apparently can't refund a double-charge unless I jump through hoop after hoop...

All to get MY OWN MONEY BACK... If there were ANY other option in my area for electric, I would jump off this ruthless ship immediately with two fingers held high in the air, because I do not like the idea of supporting a company that treats their customers this way. But I guess in the end it's the American way, right? Big Business comes first.

The general populace of peons? Well...

we're "lucky" when some scraps fall off the corporate table to fill our plates. I find more often than not these days that there is only one thing rolling our way, and unfortunately we are stuck at the bottom of the hill.

This same situation is happening to myself right now. Charged $115.69 TWICE and the women told me they did indeed make a mistake and double charge but i would need to go through my bank and ask for supervisors FOR MY OWN MONEY!!!

Im a 20 year old girl trying to survive on my own and this happens! I will be getting my money back Nyseg....oh, I promise it will be in my damn pocket again.
